new bedding

This is the bedding I want for my bedroom. It’s from Target. I’m waiting for it to go on sale. I’d paint the walls a dark pink, to match the pink in one of the flowers.

too cute!

pretty in pink

I just finished painting my fingernails dark pink. They look so pretty. Thanks, Avon :-)

a good end to the week

Sure, my week was less than ideal, but an evening of Chinese food at Three Happiness, two glasses of champagne at the Homy Inn and a Ketel One and cranberry at the Interlude Lounge certainly made up for it.

Thanks, Matthew :-)

Tomorrow, my mom and I are having dinner at Angie’s near the Old Market. Then, it’s on to see Simon and Garfunkel play the Qwest Center.

it’s friday! woo hoo!

So I’ve been LJ MIA this week. My apologies. I haven’t had much to write about, but plenty has been swimming through my head. I’ve been feeling less than satisfied with my job at the Bellevue Leader as of late. I don’t know if I’m in a rut (a possibility, according to Jason) or at a place where I need to begin looking for a new job. I just don’t have the drive or motivation to write great stories for the paper any more. I almost feel like my work isn’t appreciated, so why even bother? Granted, I can’t imagine doing much else besides working as a writer, but I don’t know if that place is at the Bellevue Leader any more. Maybe it’s time to expose my writing to a different audience. It has been on my mind a great deal lately. I need to think about it more to determine the root of these feelings and what my next step should be.

Thanks for listening.

hooray!

One of THE BEST independent Apple commercials I’ve seen. It’ll automatically load in QuickTime on the right side of your brower. Check it out: http://www.courtneyweinstein.com/videos/imac/large.html

i think it’s working

Bill Clinton’s determination to spread the word about “My Life” is working. His books will be released Tuesday, and I’m curious to get my hands on a copy. I wasn’t that fascinated with Clinton while he served in office. But now? Now, I think I want to read his book.

It stormed last night like it hasn’t for quite some time. The thunder was so loud it not only woke me up, but it set off a few car alarms in the neighborhood. To be honest, I was pretty scared. Thank goodness it’s morning.

Happy Monday. Now, get to work!

i want this t-shirt!

I wouldn’t fill it out as much on top, but I want this shirt!

just getting caught up

Geez, this week flew by. I haven’t posted since Tuesday, which is an indication of just how busy I’ve been. Work has been crazy. Our photographer is on vacation, and I’ve been pitch hitting in the Photoshop department. Plus, I’ve been running around finding wild art to shoot, not to mention conducting interviews for my stories for our next paper.

I’ve been transcribing my interviews at Nu-Trend today. After work, I’m going to stop by Gordman’s and look at their pictures. My walls remain bare and in need of decor.

Matthew and I saw “The Terminal” at the new Village Pointe shopping center in sterile West Omaha. Lovely shopping area and a gorgeous movie theater. I hope to return soon, just to walk around and check out some of the stores.

I’ve decided that, for me, vanilla is the new chocolate. Yum.
