my ipod is iawesome

Want an easy way to work for five hours — uninterrupted — while at work? Listen to your iPod, of course! I did that today and only two people asked me questions, which is WAY smaller than inquiries I receive when not listening to my iPod. For a Friday, I got a lot done, so Monday won’t be all that bad.

Thanks, iPod aka The Music Man. You kicked some serious ass today so I could work.

can’t…get…up

OK. 8 a.m. is growing closer with every second. I need to get ready for work! It’s Friday!

Given the option, I’d much rather listen to this (indie pop rocks!) and read this today.

Oy.

bush is here

Dubya arrived last night here in Omaha around 8. Matthew and I were already downtown, so we swung by the Qwest Center to see what’s what. Barricades were already up and police were diverting traffic. Although W isn’t my favorite man, knowing he’s in Omaha is a wee bit exciting. And to hear network reporters say “Omaha” is exciting, as well.

I’m reviewing the Bellevue Little Theatre’s production of “Driving Miss Daisy” this evening. Tonight will also include a meeting with Andrew Dan-Jumbo of TLC’s “While You Were Out.” Hopefully, I’ll have the photos to prove it.

Happy Friday.

eat it, gates!

this american life

This is fascinating.

And here’s more info.

no shit

That’s not true. You see, there was shit. Mouse shit, to be exact. Yes, there were mouse droppings on my desk and desk calendar when I got to work Monday morning. Ew! I’ve heard rumors that we have mice, but Monday was living proof. My boss says he’s going to have the building folks set out traps or something like that. I imagine mouse shit is a health hazard, don’t you think?

On a completely unrelated note, I saw “The Producers” Sunday night. It’s the traveling Broadway version and it was FANTASTIC! A night at the theatre is always a treat.

And I’m in for a second treat Friday night when I attend the Bellevue Little Theatre’s production of “Driving Miss Daisy.” I’ll have to write a review of the show for next Wednesday’s paper. Exciting stuff.

go go apple computer!

four thumbs up

Matthew and I saw “In Good Company” last night. We both loved the movie, and the fantastic soundtrack was a bonus: songs by The Shins and Iron and Wine. Quite unexpected, that’s for sure.
