The ever elusive – yet ever recognized – “they” are saying Omaha will get slammed with anywhere between 7 and 14 inches of snow by Wednesday night. Could it be? Considering we saw a 60-plus-degree day last week, I can’t say I mind the snow that much; or that the snow won’t be expected. It will.

Go Hawks!
I cannot begin to express how absolutely addicting it is to be here, at home, in my PJs. The furnace is on. I’m wearing my new flannel PJs from my cousin. It’s quiet. And it’s after 1 p.m.!
How grand.
so this is the new year/and i don’t feel any different
“The New Year,” Death Cab for Cutie
Happy 2005. I wish I could I awoke with a feeling of a new beginning, but I merely awoke from a restful seven hours’ sleep. We celebrated New Year’s Eve with Brian at his mortuary. Most of us took cat naps after dinner but before midnight. It was chilly last night, but me managed to grill steaks. Delicious! There was plenty of booze, too.
I slept from about 9 to 11 last night, but was awake to see Conan O’Brien ring in 2005 at midnight in the Central Time Zone. Pretty creative, I must say.
As always, here are two photos from last night.
Matthew and I briefly discussed this last night:
What’s worse, a terrorist attack (think 9/11) or a natural disaster (think the tsunami)?

My new bedding set, purchased today with a small portion of my Christmas money. Hooray!
Tonight has been an amazing night from the standpoint of personal relaxation. Thanks to Katie and Matthew, respectively, I soaked my feet and my entire body.
The joys of at-home spa treatments! I feel rejuvenated after a long day of shopping with my sister.
P.S. This little beauty is next on my list :-)
